My company is looking to advertise online. We have been informed that we need an adserving agency. I am wondering if someone has any recommendations as to who we could possibly use. We are looking to use a UK based agency.

Hi Amit,
We (E-consultancy) had a supplier showcase on Ad Serving recently featuring some different ad serving companies.
You can download some of the presentations here (for free) to get some background.

Atlas focuses on the 'buy-side' (i.e. ad serving technology for advertisers rather than publishers) although it has just bought Accipiter which has a focus on the 'sell-side' (technology for publishers).
We've also got buyer's guides on Ad Serving and Online Ad Networks which could be helpful.

Without knowing more about your particular requirements it's hard to single out a particular technology or agency which would be the best fit for your needs

Hi Amit, an interactive ad agency is what you need. As far as ad serving is concerned, most fo the portals do not allow a third party server, so as far as adserving is concerned, if media is planned in a good way, you mite not need a thirty party ad serving.

Hi Linus,
Thanks for your feedback. It was very helpful indeed.
At this stage our requirement is extremely simple - We are looking to advertise our consumer products on some social networking websites. We have been requested by these sites to get an adserver in place and then send across the “adtags” for the creative to them.
So we are looking for an extremely simple adserving solution.
I have been in touch with some of the culprits mentioned in the showcase feature you mentioned and hope to have a solution shortly.
Once again, thanks for your guidance.
Regards
