Could anyone give me guide % for B2B newsletter / email open rates and CTR. I realise there are many metrics to take into account but this is our first campaign and i cannot find any up to date figures to compare our results too. I

Hi Karen,
B2B open rate depend up on two things
1.Spam rating and how big newsletter is
2. list type Opt-in or Opt-out.
you can expect higher open rate percentage of optin lists with minimum graphics
say as per the industry standards 25%-35%+
and less than 20% on opt-out lists with lot of graphics as most of then fail to get pass Spam blocks.

For newsletter, 10 ~35% open rate is average, 35 ~ 50% is good, and >50% is outstanding.
Note: Open rates are calculated by placing a 1x1 pixel image with the newsletter, and as these days are going for a toss, as new email applications/readers by default block images.So Open rates cannot be the actual times newsletter was opened.Also emails read on blackberrys doesn't load image either.
