Can anyone recommend a good course on copywriting for SEO? Preferably training in the North West.

I don't want to shamelessly plug Econsultancy training but we run two popular courses in Manchester I think you will find useful.
The first is our Online Copywriting training which highlights the differences when writing for the web. It will cover legibility, layout, language, tone and structure to ensure you keep your readers attention. In the afternoon the trainer will also cover sub-genres of copywriting including search engine optimisation.
The second course is our Search Engine Optimisation training. This session explores on and off site factors which will impact the ranking of your site on search engines. It will show you how to make sure your well optimised copy is on pages that are structured correctly so they are easily crawled and indexed by search engines. It will also look at link building techniques to help your content gain relevance from a search engine perspective.
Happy to talk through either course in more detail. You can contact me on 020 7269 1472 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thanks Naveed. I'm hoping to find something sooner than the dates you have in Manchester - but I appreciate the response.
Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Karon Thackston has a very good course that I used 3 years ago - I see that she has released the next edition, so it's pretty much up to date and I did find it to be very helpful. Because it's a book & audio course you can whizz through as fast as you need to. http://www.copywritingcourse.com/
