I'm just getting started in project management, though I've been building websites for a small agency for 8 years. I'm trying to develop a project management method and deliverables based on Mr. Freidlien's book. I also downloaded the web project management templates. But, I still have questions - mostly related to the deliverables for each stage.

    1. How can a standard contract be delivered in stage one with a functional specification, storyboard, content plan, and project plan when these are supposed to be deliverables in later stages?
    2. Does anyone have a template for the project brief? Do you normally provide this to the client as a deliverable?
    3. The project specification mentions the content plan, but the content plan isn't delivered until a later stage. Why?
    4. The project specification has placeholders for the functional and technical specifications, but those are provided as separate templates. Do most agencies include everything in the project specification or separately?
