Has anyone else noticed how your Econsultancy membership profile boosts your personal SEO?
Versus LinkedIn and Facebook my Econsultancy profile performs massively - quite cool really :)

Hi Rob
Interesting you point this out as we've been noticing this lately as well - obviously good news for us as it means people are more like to add their profile and, perhaps more importantly, more incentivised to keep it accurate and up to date. Hopefully, as the directory gets more comprehensive and has richer information, then it will become more useful and therefore more linked to and therefore go higher up the rankings. We'll see.
This is also true for our Supplier Directory which is good news for us as we're seeing more people now paying for our Full Profile - largely, we think, because they're seeing the SEO improvements (in our rankings on their name, and the benefit of us linking directly to their site too).

Our Supplier Directory entry has generated quite a few leads for us on an ongoing basis. We are also considering a full profile fom September. I think the specialist focus of E-Consultancy helps in this - LinkedIn and Facebook can be great but they are generalist.
