I read somewhere that if you send an email that is entirely image based [sliced into parts], that comes from one domain and the email that comes from another was more likely to be picked up by spam filters.
To illustrate: I send email from mycompany.com. I have pictures on a totally different server and not a subdomain. outsidecompany.com. Thus when the email is opened outsidecompany.com gets a request to serve the image.
I cannot seem to find an article on this matter. I wondered if other people did this what experiences they had?

Are you referring to the 'click here to download images' message that can be seen at the top of an email when you open up an image based email?
If that isn't what you are referring to then it is news to me...
However if this is what you are referring to then it isn’t anything to do with hosting it is standard behavior for 99% of email programs to block images. This then leads on to the whole marketing v’s design issue of finding the balance between text and images and getting recipients to add you to their white list (which will allow images to be downloaded automatically).
Does that answer your question or just create another 20 questions?
