Does anyone know what are the best products to use as inhouse email marketing tools. I'm looking to use a product called exact target for our email campaigns and we are probably looking to send out around 500 a week. Obiviously the cheaper the better but I don't want to lose quality.

    hi, Simon,

I always recommend mailchimp. It's cheap, simple to use, great customer service, they're ridiculously knowledgeable.

    500 emails will cost you $15 .

    hope that helps!

My lot use pure360 the customer service is really good and the software as so easy to use in my opinion. I tried a few others but no-one else could really compete with the interface. On top of that I can do the tekki stuff and my marketing execs can do the copy and sends, really worth a look.
If you need a managed service, they do that as well.

Hi Simon, i've used both Cheetahmail, Communicator, EmailVision, Adestra and Dotmailer. Let me know what kind of volume you are looking to do each month and how you collect email data currently, and i'll let you know which one is better

Great to see all the suppliers trying to get your business Simon :-(  some advice from from us folks who do email campaigns on a daily basis and who have used lots of providers maybe a little more impartial than these sales men!

I'd recommend dotMailer personally. Very easy to use and cost-effective for both large and small campaigns. You get a WYSIWYG editor too which is useful if you have clients or a team of editors to input content after you've built your original template. The stats you get afterwards show you how successful your email was too. They offer a trial account so it's worth checking it out. UK based too which is good as I believe it's better to send emails from UK servers.
