I have not actually read the patent as I'd rather have purely coincidental implementation of whatever was patented, but from rumour and discussions I understand that parts of it are likely to be intentionally incorrect to confuse search engine spammers in hope to increase their costs (ie registering domain for longer, thus it will cost more to lose it when it gets banned).
Some parts like watching growth of links overtime certainly make sense though.
