Has anyone got anything good, bad or otherwise to say about the Q4 survey from iPerceptions?

I'd like to use it on our website, but have a few internal stakeholders that need to be convinced about why implementing a free survey product would be a good idea. I can easily sell the benefits of running the survey, but the stakeholders are asking the usual questions like...

    Why's it free?

What are they trying to get you to buy?

I haven't had a hugely satisfying answer to these questions from iPerceptions yet, so wondered how other people's experience has been?

You have to ask is it really free? If there say 100k responses wouldn't you be better off owning that data? Given your sector it's advisable to have complete control over your data It would be best practice of Great brands to not pursue the free option. Chris www.sensorpro.net

I don't know much about the commercial / data ownership side of things. I've heard good things about it otherwise - as a simple and effective way to get feedback etc. Though you don't have to use this tool to use this approach, of course.

Avinash Kaushik was involved in setting up Q4 and I've seen it used well on Intuit.com where he used to work. He talks about Q4 on his blog if you haven't already read that.
