    Hi Guys

First post here and its to pick your head on some suggestion on good reads on web copywriting in general. Its not so much about the SEO part of web copywriting that im looking for but more inspirational literature in the field of web copywriting that i think have some similarities with Direct Marketing in a sense.

So of course i hit amazon to find some suggestions and i came across enough alternatives and views on them in their respective reviews to put in a posting on this forum.

First i stumbled on the book, "Web Copy That Sells: The Revolutionary Formula for Creating Killer Copy That Grabs Their Attention and Compels" by maria veloso but the low star review for that book scared be as it basically said "if you gonna run a scam site this is the book for you"....and we dont want that do we.

On the other hand i found some more credible, possibly call it dryer, suggestion like "Commonsense Direct & Digital Marketing" by Drayton Bird which seems to be more like a school book literature...nothing wrong with that.

So if any of you have any good recommendations on the subject that would be awesome.

    /Dennis

    Hey Dennis,

Chris Lake did an interesting post on online copy a little while ago which might help:

and our SEO optimisation guide has a fairly extensive guide included. You might also want to look at the econsultancy supplier guide.

If you are unsure then it's much better to get a professional copywriter on board at the start. I'd also recommend taking regular looks at sites like copyblogger.com and occasionally bitrebels who offer a lot of practical 'how to write great blog posts'-style features fairly regularly.
