Hi , a little advice if possible. I am after recommendations for the best recruitment agencies for e-commerce professionals, particularly in relation to retail, multi-channel placements. There seems to be many out there but have any of you had an outstanding experience in the quality of candidates that have been put forward to you? The location would be London for the placement.

    Cheers

If you want to look at alternatives to agencies you might want to look at these.

www.webrecruit.co.uk  and www.easywebrecruitment.com will put your ad on dozens of general and specialist websites for a relatively modest fixed fee and do some filtering.

On the DIY front, I get fantastic results from Gumtree for 20 quid.  The  Job centre web site is free and surprisingly you sometimes get good candidates.   The problem with Gumtree and The Job centre site is you have to filter yourself.

If you struggle to get good results with an agency, or find them too pricey, then you could always try an employers only job board.  NoAgenciesPlease.com and NoRecruitmentAgencies.com are both pretty good examples of cheap/free employer only jobs boards. Or like an earlier post in this thread suggests, Gumtree is a good low cost solution.  I'd also suggest Craigslist - it's pretty similar to gumtree and has a lot of web traffic.
