Ive been a web developer for 5 years now and i havent yet formulated any kind of web developement lifecycle.
Can anyone tell me if there is a defined and used web development lifecycle out there.

Some languages have groups working on SDLC. For instance, FLiP (based on the Fusebox methdology) is gearted toward Cold Fusion, but also has implementations in JSP, PHP and ASP I believe. See fusebox.org for more info. Whta specific language are you using? There are plenty of generic paths to use, but some languages have processes geared toward them.
