Hi everyone, I am carrying out a research for Middlesex University on issues in E-commerce sites' purchase process. The issues can be usability issues or the cognitive issues which lead you to abandon the shopping process. I will be really grateful if you share your experiences on any e-commerce site which will help me to gather my initial data.

    HI there,

Will you be publishing your results anywhere?

    Hi Syed

Have you read our recently published Online Retail 2007: Checkout Special?

And its sister publications Online Retail User Experience Benchmarks 2006 and Online Retail User Experience Benchmarks 2004?

There's a whole load of excellent stuff in those reports on all the issues you mention - written by Mike Baxter (a former Professor of Design & Communication).  In his early days he famously studied where pigs shit - clearly an ideal grounding for figuring out why people buy online (or not)...

Yes, I have read the report and it is very informative. But I would like to do my own research as well as available literature review. Thanks for the comment.
