Dear all
I wonder if anyone can recommend a firm of solictors, or an independent lawyer, who can advise my agency in drawing up a 'confidentiality agreement' with our suppliers.
I have had a bad experience with a firm of solictors who did not understand the nature of our business (new media marketing and design), which has led me to look for advice from a firm which understands what we do and the issues we wish to address.
We are a small, independent firm, so recommendations for large, major legal firms would be out of our price range. However, (as with our business) we are looking for good advice and value for money, rather than 'cheap, cheerful' and not relevant to our needs.

What features do you want in your agreement?
e.g. project related or general; unilateral/bilateral; ipr language?
Let me know your requirements and I shall work them into an an agreement which I shall upload and which you can use as a starting point.

thank you so much for your generous offer of help.
The last thing I would want to do is impose, so I wondered if it would be better for me to email you a short brief on our requirements.
In this way, you can decide if it's something you could upload as you suggest or provide an estimate as a 'project', if you think our requirements are slightly more complex.

I would recommend David Appleton at Lewis Silken solicitors (020 70748050). I have been working with him for 3yrs and find his advice pragmatic and commercial. He updated our NDA and Vendor agreements.

I am a solicitor specialising in e-commerce law and can assist you with this. I work with lots of creatives (small and large from sole consultants to large agencies) and would be happy to assist you for a fixed fee. I can also advise you on your terms and conditions and protecting your copyright should you need help with these issues too.

Just a short post to say 'thank you' for all of your recommendations and your help which is very much appreciated. Upon closer investigation, all of your suggestions, and Joanne's firm, were clearly extremely competent and able to meet my requirements fully.
In the end, I decided to take up Ashley's offer of help (as posted earlier in this thread) and can say that his advice was first class and completely relevant to my needs.
Thank you all for your valuable help, and I hope (as a new e-comsultancy member) I can be of equal assistance to members in the future.

Mark send me a list of requirements and this is what we created for him. In an environment where Mark is used to contracting verbally with his suppliers we have reduced his risk by setting up a framework agreement (draft attached) which he can use with each one. Risk would be minimised further by having standard terms and conditions which could be used for each project.
I have posted a copy of this agreement, with Mark's permission, to this forum for the benefit of the e-consultancy - and so no commercial use of this agreement without my consent please.
