Technical Manager at Search Laboratory

Hi There - I was wondering if anyone could help me find a good solution to tracking sales / goals from multiple sources. For example if someone searches 3 times in the buying process and finally buys is there any good software (hosted or otherwise) out there that will allow good reporting on the importance of each of the keywords and sources that you are getting (paid or otherwise).
I know some / all of the large analytics providers give you this type of solution but was more interested in smaller solutions that focus on this problem only - and are priced on that basis (i.e. small monthly fee). Something that could be run alongside Google Analytics maybe.
Even better if there is a fiddle that could be written using the filters GA that would be great.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,
in the past we've solved this type of problem using custom development work, but otherwise I do not really know any off the shelf solution which can go down to the required level of detail. That's why we've developed our own scripts for tracking user activity, down to username or email level. But like I said, it's all a custom development process.
Of course it often all depends on the details of how you want the whole thing to work but generally speaking I do not know a ready-made solution which you can just apply.
regards,
Denis

Hi Paul,
Sitestat enables you to segment your users by search engine and then keywords, with the weighting each of them has in real time. Could this answer your prayers? If so, please do get in touch:

Hello Paul,
I can recommend Indextools.com, very good tool and will do exactly what you require. I used to use them with the last SEM company I worked for, really easy to implement as well.
Try contacting either or and they'll sort you out. And before you ask no I don't get commission, but if you mention my name Craig Cleaver you might get some friends discount. :o)
