Producers, Project Managers, Webmasters, Online Managers, Project Directors, E-commerce Managers, Account Manager etc. etc. all have to be adept at project management to do their jobs well.

However, I have found that the resources available to these people in developing their project management skills, in particular in relation to interactive digital projects (primarily web, but also wireless, kiosk and iTV), are very poor.

Hopefully we can redress some of these shortfalls of information and knowledge sharing through this forum.

Issues covered could include project management resources, techniques, development methods, team management, communications skills, documentation, QA, software tools, recommended books, virtual project management etc.

Glad to hear the book is helping. Creating a succesful web site really does require a mix of marketing/commercial skills and IS skills. Traditionally these 2 departments have been separate and haven't even tended to get on too well. Now, they have to work together to create a great customer experience.

A large part of the project manager's role is trying to facilitate this fusion - being able to 'talk different languages' I call it in the book. This can be emotionally quite tiring as I'm sure you're aware! In my experience it is slowly getting easier though as e-business skills and awareness become more commonplace and the projects themselves get higher level buy in and sponsorship.
