    What the correct terminology used in the UK or The best Key Word when choosing a supplier ..

    ....is it 'Shopping Cart' or 'eCommerce Platform'

    I don't *entirely* understand your question but certainly 'shopping cart' is not UK terminology. We'd say 'shopping basket', or most usually, just 'basket' for e-commerce sites (see top right of this site for example).

    However, that's 'consumer-facing' terminology. If you're looking for people to supply you with an e-commerce solution then it depends a bit what level you're going for. If 'low end' then you can probably search for providers of shopping cart solutions as they'll operate globally anyway.

    If you're looking for a somewhat more 'enterprise' solution then "e-commerce platform" would be the likely terminology. For example our own "E-commerce Platforms Buyer's Guide" (see http://ecly.co/eUy4kn )
