    Hiya Claire,

There is a web-based platform, that not only does everything ACT! does, but also has a fully integrated e-mail system, that files against each contact e-mails in and out, not only this you can also store documents against the contact record and a whole raft of other goodies, which are not available in ACT!

The other good news is it's web-based so you can access it from anywhere 24/7, and data can be imported from ACT! to (the system).

You know what else, for less than 10 users, it's free for the first year and thereafter 60 pounds a month which is a support charge. The support charge is waved for the first year.

    Hi Claire,
CommuniGator's email marketing platform has full integration with Sage Act!.  Take a look at the website for further info: http://www.communigator.co.uk/digital_marketing_crm_integration_act.html

Give us a call on 01483 698270 if you would like a web demo.

I’m looking at investing in an email platform provided by and email service provider and would like it integrated into my ACT! Premium Database, so that sends, reads, opens and clicks can be recorded in the history of a contact. I have spoken to a number of ESPs and some seem to think this is a relatively simple process and can be done through API or manual import while others say it’s difficult to virtually impossible.

What’s the truth? And how can it be done? I don’t mind a manual import by csv – but can you import such things into a history? Or is there a process to trigger a history event on import?

I was suggested looking at Swift by another forum user, and they seem to integrate above and beyond which is great, but they are not a UK ESP so I worry about deliverability etc.
