As a result of a piece of strategic consultancy that I did for them last year, one of my clients has decided to go ahead with a complete refresh of their digital presence. This project is now underway and I am helping them with the selection of partner companies to assist them in this process.

We are currently looking for a Java based web application development specialist with strong system integation skills (the new website will deliver a range of bespoke capabilities which have to closely integrated with their back office systems - they are using a service orientated architecture to deliver this).

The chosen company will provide a range of consultancy and development specialists to work alongside the in-house team (10 people).  A flexible and responsive approach will be required, delivering a range of different skills at different times.  We envisage that the chosen partner will have between 20 and 100 staff.

 The ideal partner would be able to provide the following key capabilities:
*   In-depth Java/J2EE design and development skills
*   Substantial experience of developing accessible web applications working in close collaboration with web designers
*   Significant systems integation experience using service based approaches
*   Broad experience of range of different CMS and portal technologies
*   Expertise in web application security

Other highly desirable capabilities would include:  expertise in agile development methodologies and in testing and testing tools.
