Has anyone come accross an online shop platform (in ASP or ASP.NET) which supports the functionality of having a single front-end but with multiple back-ends? The concept is of a Multi-tenant store, just like the way various suppliers can sell a product on amazon.com

What I want to achieve is to have a single online shop (ie. single front end) but with a seperate backend for each supplier (multiple backends).  Each supplier then has his own contact details (all using paypal), own products, etc.    Product categories could potentially be predefined by a store super-admin sort of thing.

It has to be a platform which can be installed on someone's own server and not a software-as-a-service.

Any suggestions?
