About the role
We’re leading the way in sustainability, affordability and service by continually developing our website and increasing traffic to it, so even more people will recognise how much we have to offer. You’ll play your part by creating our B2C Social Media strategy, rolling it out and managing it. It’ll be down to you to plan, execute and report back on Social Media campaigns, showing how well you’re maximising your substantial budget. Whether you’re working with colleagues internally or with external agencies, you’ll always be clearly focused on your web traffic, sales, service and recommendation targets. At the same time, you’ll have a huge say in our broader emarketing strategy. And throughout, we’ll rely on you to spot new opportunities, promote best practice and deliver a programme of continuous improvement for our Social Media activity.

Candidate Requirements

About you
In this brand new role, you’ll be our first in-house Social Media expert. You must have an impressive background in a Social Media team or agency, plus experience on a major consumer ecommerce brand. As a result, you’ll know how to make the most of everything from blogs and forums to Facebook and Twitter to achieve ambitious reach, visits, sales and other digital objectives. You’ll have a clear idea of the costs and resources associated with each channel. More than that though, you’ll have proved you can inspire digital agencies to deliver great Social Media campaigns. As strategic as you are analytical, you’ll also have strong commercial instincts. In fact, your record will show you’ve already had a positive impact on business results. Add a relevant professional qualification plus credible, convincing communication skills, and you could soon be enjoying even more influence as you help shape our new team and its long-term direction.
