Betfred has launched its first TV ads as it looks to grow mobile betting as a core revenue stream.
The six-figure campaign will run throughout December and January across Sky Sports and ESPN, to be followed by two further TV ads, raising awareness of its ’bet in play’ proposition and how mobile can facilitate betting on the move.
Betfred head of media Mark Pearson said, “We’ve recently launched our first Android app. It’s definitely a growth area for us, showing people how you can bet on the move. As this is our first major foray into TV, it’s important we get it right.”
The ads will run alongside rivals Sky Bet and William HIll. Betfred’s proposition, according to Pearson, is based around giving customers value and paying the best bonuses.
The business, founded by Fred Done, was built up from a single shop in Salford in 1967 to 850 shops nationwide and a developing digital offering.
Pearson commissioned Manchester design and post production company Editz to create the TV ads.
