Digital ad network Specific Media has appointed Philippe Besnard to the newly created role of MD for Continental Europe. He’ll be responsible for driving the company’s strategic growth across the region, as well as overseeing existing French and German operations. He will report to Specific Media international MD Colin Petrie-Norris. Besnard joins from AOL where he was MD for Southern Europe, having held the same position at Advertising.com. He has had senior roles at Laureate International and Meccano.

Digital recruitment agency Propel London has hired Nathan Mayatt as development director. He has spent the last year working as a business consultant.

Media planning agency Trinity Communications has hired Kate Oates and Catherine Part as planning managers and Hannah McWilliam as a graduate planner. Oates joins from MediaCom where she was a media manager, Part was a planner at Mike Colling and Company, McWilliam was at Exeter University.

The Nielsen Company has appointed Andrew Bradford as VP of client consulting and media, EMEA. He joins from AOL where he was director of insight and strategy.

Brand consultancy agency Sparkler has recruited Tom O’Dwyer as senior consultant. He has previously worked for Project X, Euro RSCG and The Futures Company.

Online fashion retailer Secret Sales has appointed Simon Hall as marketing manager. He has held senior positions at Virgin Games and Pod1.

Creative agency Archibald Ingall Stretton has recruited Devon Keller as head of user experience. She was previously at Electronic Ink.

Marketing agency McCann Erickson Bristol has strengthened its team with three new appointments.

Tom Ager (top) joins as account director, Carl Halford (centre) as creative copywriter and Anna Vong as account executive. Ager moves from Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw, Halford previously worked at R/GA and Vong was at Create Marketing.

Digital agency Publicis Modem has appointed Jeremy Warren as SEO manager. He previously held the same role at Netbooster.

Interactive marketing agency SapientNitro has hired Ben Callis and Justin Barnes as creative directors. Prior to their appointments, both held the same positions at David&Goliath UK.
