AudienceScience, the behavioural targeting specialist, has secured $20m (£12.2m) in funding.
Silicon Valley firms Davidow Ventures, Integral Capital Partners, Mayfield Fund, Meritech Capital Partners and Mohr have provided the investment, intended to help the company expand internationally, increase staff and invest in research into targeting products.
Jeff Hirsch, president and CEO of AudienceScience, said, “The commitment from our investors speaks of their confidence in our position in the online ad industry as data-driven, audience-based advertising has invigorated the market. We’re excited that the company will have further means to leverage our leading technology and industry relationships to aggressively extend our market presence, both in the US and internationally.”
AudienceScience, formerly Revenue Science, provides behavioural targeting to publishers including Hulu, ITV, News International and Teletext.
