Digital agency AKQA is to open an office in Berlin with Nokia as its launch client, creating applications for its Ovi mobile app store.
The Berlin office is the third European office for AKQA and will be headed by Guy Wieynk, European MD. It opens in late March.
Ajaz Ahmed, AKQA chairman, said, “Berlin is one of the most creative and exciting cities in the world. We look forward to developing our global client relationships in Germany and working with the very best local talent.”
AKQA is hiring creative, strategy and technical staff for the office.
The agency has offices in New York, Amsterdam and Shanghai, with clients including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and Nike.
