Following the acquisition of Econsultancy by Centaur Media, the Econsultancy and New Media Age businesses will be joined together to form the largest media, research, training and event provider to the digital marketing and ecommerce industries.
The online-only NMA will be incorporated into Econsultancy.com from the end of November, together with a big investment programme to create best of breed insight, news, awards, events and training from the combined brands and communities.
Key developments in the new partnership include:
The launch of The Digitals, Rewarding Digital Excellence. This will create the number one awards programme for the digital marketing sector by combining Econsultancy’s Innovation Awards and the NMA Effectiveness Awards. This new awards programme will harness the reach and editorial integrity of both brands to create the leading awards for the industry culminating with a ceremony on 27th June in London.
The combination of the editorial and analyst teams. Uniting the content, expertise and resources of the two businesses will enable it to produce more insight, opinion and best practice research.
A powerful new recruitment offering on a modern jobs board platform. Merging the NMA and Econsultancy online recruitment services will enable job seekers and recruiters alike to benefit from the combined reach and jobs traffic of the two brands. This will create a jobs board with more traffic and data than any other in the digital marketing space.
A single subscription for access to the latest best practice content and analysis. NMA subscribers will continue to receive all the insight and opinion via Econsultancy but now also be able to access all the Econsultancy best practice content and reports (over 450 of them) enabling them to benefit from what both brands have to offer under a single subscription.
A single site and community for advertisers. The combination will now offer advertisers with a single trusted and proven media provider where digital marketers - from brands and clients to agencies and vendors - congregate enabling more focused lead generation campaigns. More than 500,000 unique visitors a month are anticipated from just the digital marketing community.
Ashley Friedlein, CEO of Econsultancy, said, “In combining the reach, editorial heritage and market offerings of the two brands, we’re creating a bigger and richer resource for the digital marketing community. Together we can do even more to help digital marketers to be better informed and to do their jobs better. We are very excited about NMA and Econsultancy joining forces to help our industry as it continues to grow in size and influence.”
