Key people moves in the industry.

Creative agency Collective London has appointed Nick Constantinou as CEO. He will be responsible for delivering Collective’s UK and international growth strategy while leveraging recent investment and business wins. Constantinou joins from his role as MD of McCann Erickson London, and is the former general manager of AKQA. He joins Collective founder Al Taylor and creative director Adam Cleaver who both worked at AKQA prior to setting up Collective London.

Content promotions and branded entertainment agency, Upfront, has hired Blackberry’s Christina Armstrong as head of mobile. She spent five years at Blackberry and led the award winning ‘Live and Lost’ project, a music platform that brought UK talent to Blackberry users via the brand’s handsets and social media channels.

Digital media company Specific Media has appointed Paul Oronoz country manager for the UK. In his new role he has been tasked with ensuring the company is prepared for the significant changes in the way new digital media content reaches audiences as the market adapts to multi-screen consumers. He will report to MD international Colin Petrie-Norris. He joins from Specific Media’s California headquarters where he was VP western US sales.

Guardian News & Media has named Alex Musil director of product. He is the former executive VP of product at Shazam and joins as part of GNM’s digital first strategy to oversee the development of the Guardian’s product team and will be responsible for planning its product portfolio. He will join in August and report to GNM’s director of digital development Tanya Cordrey.

Digital media platform PubMatic has appointed Bob Walczak VP mobile product. He is the founder and former CEO of mobile advertising firm Ringleader Digital and will join to partner with Josh Wetzel who leads PubMatic’s Mobile and Emerging Media practice. In his new role he will help publishers differentiate and monetise their mobile inventory. His appointment follows PubMatic’s £29m mezzanine round of funding from August Capital which was announced on 6 June.

Affiliate management agency R.O.EYE has named Gavin Male MD of its global digital marketing business. He joins from his role as MD of Affiliate Future and is the former MD of tmnmedia, EDR Agency and TAPPS BV (The TMN Group), and will join R.O.EYE in September. In his new role he will be looking to grow the affiliate management area in the UK and abroad, as well as pushing the company to explore complementary digital offerings.

Digital ad platform provider Marin Software has appointed Simon Turner and Anne Schoberth to its European team. Turner joins as senior sales manager, agencies and was previously head of search business strategy at Yahoo. He is a current member of the IAB Search Council and will look to build Marin’s relationships with agencies in EMEA in his new role. Meanwhile, Schoberth joins as account director, joining from Neo Ogilvy where she held the same role.
