So you have a PDF document that you want to share with the world. Or you have a PowerPoint presentation that you want to make easily accessible to your company's stakeholders.
You could upload these documents to the web in their original form but there's no guarantee that those downloading them will have all the software required.
Fortunately, there are a number of nifty online services that make sharing presentations online a snap.
-
Slideshare
Focused on making it easy to share PowerPoint presentations, Slideshare also supports presentations in Open Office, PDF and other Microsoft Office formats.Uploaded presentations are made available for viewing through a Flash-based "player."
-
Scribd
Upload your Microsoft Office, Open Office, PDF and text files and Scribd does the rest. Like with Slideshare, they'll be made available for easy viewing in a Flash-based "player."Scribd even offers an API and a Desktop Uploader that allows you to upload lots of files at once.
-
Docstoc
Docstoc is considered a Scribd competitor but its focus is on business documents. It functions in much the same way as Scribd but also offers a synchronization tool called Docstoc Sync which includes features for private document sharing as well.
-
Zentation
Zentation adds a twist to online presentation sharing. It provides a system for not only sharing presentation documents but displaying them alongside actual videos of those presentations as they were presented in real life. For obvious reasons, this setup may be especially valuable for businesses.
-
SlideRocket
If you're not committed to using PowerPoint (or a similar program) to create your presentations, SlideRocket may be a viable alternative. It is an all-in-one web-based solution for presentation creation and sharing that's well worth a look.

Nice list. Thanks.
I've found both Slideshare and Scribd to be fantastic resources. For anyone involved in providing advisory services, if you're thinking of leveraging social media in any way to grow your businesses, these two are platforms that should be high on the priority list.
