European visits to career-related websites jumped by 11% year on year in Q3, according to new figures from comScore.

The study showed sites dedicated to online career resources, job searches and training attracted 50 million visitors per month during the quarter, with Monster leading the category.

It attracted an average of 9.2 million unique visitors per month, an increase of 25% from the same period last year. September was also a record month for the firm.

The second most-visited career site was Bundesagentur für Arbeit, followed by ANPE Sites and Stepstone.

Meanwhile, comScore has also released research on the most popular websites worldwide in September, measured by unique visitors.

Both YouTube and Wikipedia saw 12% gains over the previous month, while Microsoft’s web properties took top spot.

The figures didn’t include visits from internet cafes or mobiles.
