Thanks for the infographic. For me the usability v utilisation is important; 50% check at least once per day but only 20% find it as easy to use as on a computer.
This is why I rarely use mobile for email consumption - I find it rather annoying, especially when brands send out the same volume of info as for non-mobile. Despite working in the industry and knowing that mobile targeting in email is important, I just don't like reading emails myself on mobile phones (tablets are another matter).
There is getting your email to render effectively for mobile and then there is crafting an email that delivers excellent usability and engagement.
Has anybody got current stats on open rates/click through/page visits/time on site/conversion for mobile v desktop/laptop? Any examples of brands delivering email content optimised for mobile devices?
