eBay says that it attracts 32m unique visits a month to its discussion boards, with 6m posts and 4.5m users a year.
Speaking at Hotwire’s digital trends briefing this morning, eBay UK's head of corporate communications Clare Moore-Bridger said that they were an "excellent source of information on what’s important to customers”.
eBay upgrades Motors app to include visual search

eBay has upgraded its Motors iPhone app to allow users to search for a vehicle simply by taking a photo of it.
Other new features on the app, which is only available in the US, include broadcasts from key racing events in the video section - plus the ability to share your sales activity through Twitter.

PayPal’s mobile payment system has gone live at 51 Home Depot stores in the US.
The eBay-owned company has also reported that its mobile payment volume reached $4bn in 2011.

Not one to be left out, eBay has released its third annual Top Shopped report following Google's Zeitgeist for 2011, and YouTube's most watched videos earlier today.
eBay's list aims to rank the pop culture moments and trends of the year based on related items sold in the US on the eBay Marketplace.
Clarks launches first transactional mobile site
Clarks has become the latest in a run of retailers to launch a transactional mobile strategy, announcing today that it has created its first ever m-commerce site.
With the company's full product range available to buy, people can shop directly from their mobile or locate their nearest store.
eBay expects to see $5bn of sales via mobile for 2011
In 2010, global eBay sales via a mobile device more than tripled, generating $2bn in sales, up from $600m in 2009.
The company says that it expects this to more than double again in 2011 to over $5bn.
eBay has also announced that more now than 1m listings are now made every week through its mobile platform.
This is largely because the auction site has successfully integrated mobile technology into its user experience, clocking up 50m app downloads across multiple platforms globally.
Hunch sells to eBay for a rumoured $80m
eBay has acquired the team and technology behind recommendation engine Hunch for a rumoured $80million.
Hunch’s predictive technology makes customised recommendations to users based on their individual tastes using a “taste graph”.
