Google has begun placing advertisements inside clips on its Google Video upload site.
The video of a recent episode of the Charlie Rose show, a programme from the PBS network, is among the first to feature embedded ads that interrupt the clip being watched.

Search marketing company MIVA yesterday announced that it has chosen to end its partnership with Yahoo! in favour of Google.
Yahoo! had been providing search advertising for MIVA since 2001 but this will end as of January 27, when MIVA will begin a new two year deal with Google.

Andy Beal at MarketingPilgrim has an interesting article, in which he reports claims from Google that their click fraud rate is less then 2%.
Andy has been talking to Google’s business product manager for trust and safety, Shuman Ghosemajumder, about click fraud detection. He was shown a PowerPoint presentation which was normally for Google employees' eyes only.

It seems that, when they came to designing an IE7 promo page, Google couldn't be bothered to start from scratch, and produced a page that looks remarkably similar to Yahoo's.
Both Yahoo and Google have produced personalized versions of the new Internet Explorer 7 browser – Matthew Ingram has the screenshots.

Search Engine Roundtable has linked to a Webmaster World post that claims the web giant's Chicago office has been using automated calls to sell ads.

Google
has continued its push into traditional media with a beta launch of its radio advertising system in the US.
The search giant said it had begun testing the Audio Ads service with 20 AdWords customers and over 700 radio stations, having reworked the technology of dMarc Broadcasting, the radio advertising company it bought almost a year ago.

BSkyB has announced that it will work with Google in a deal which will help it develop its broadband products and services.
Initially, Google will provide a version of Google Mail using the @sky.com domain name, as well as a video-sharing service which will use Google’s video content tools.
