TV viewing via tablets is predicted to increase to just over three hours per month by 2014, according to a new report from Juniper Research.
The increase is attributed to growing user satisfaction and the availability of a wider range of content.
The report, ‘Mobile TV; Applications, Devices and Opportunities 2012-2016’, states that the increase will be most apparent in North America because of the existing popularity of services like Netflix and Hulu.

The UK's shoppers are adopting mobile and tablets, yet the high street remains central to the research and purchase process.
87% of survey respondents using a store as part of the purchase journey in the past month, though high prices, crowds, and the time taken are seen as drawbacks.
The stats come from Shoppercentric's 'Shopping in a Multichannel World' survey, and the results show that customers are using a wide variety of channels.
Mary Portas may have managed to produce a retail review containing just three references to digital, but online and mobile is vital for the future of the high street.

It seems like only yesterday that Google introduced its latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, to the world. At the time, I suggested that it might be "the most important Android release ever."
And for a good reason: Ice Cream Sandwich, which marked the fourth version of Android, included some major changes to the Android interface and sought to make Android a tasty option for both smart phones and tablets.

For the last six years, we have carried out an Online Future Shopping Index survey straight after Christmas, to determine whether people plan to spend more or less the following year.
Each year we make a prediction based on the results and I’m happy to say that once again last year’s prediction was pretty much spot on!
We predicted 12% to 17% growth in online sales during Christmas 2011; the actual figure, reported by the IMRG in January was 16.5%.

It's an exciting time for the email marketing industry, and no matter what Mark Zuckerberg says, the end is certainly not nigh, according to new research published this week from Econsultancy.
According to Econsultancy's 2012 Email Marketing Platforms Buyer's Guide, the UK email marketing industry grew by an estimated 15.5% last year to a value of £388 million by the end of 2011.
The research highlights that the rise of cross-channel marketing is helping to fuel growth in the email marketing industry. Rather than operating in its own silo, email is now seen as an essential component of a wider campaign. Thanks to the rise of mobile, email is now everywhere, accessible anywhere, at any time and at any location.

Rebranding is never easy. A company's visual identity is extremely important, and established companies can risk a lot when they make changes, making change challenging.
Such a challenge was faced by DC Entertainment, which yesterday unveiled
its new brand identity. The iconic comic publisher, whose fictional characters
include universally-recognized figures like Superman and Batman, was
founded nearly 80 years ago. But you wouldn't know that looking at its
new logo.
