Richard at Read/WriteWeb reckons Digg needs editors, and judging on the quality of some of the submissions we can see that he has a point. But Digg prides itself on being entirely user-generated and automated, so we have a conundrum here.
Should Digg change its business strategy by allowing pesky humans to moderate, tweak and ‘improve’ submissions by other, less-grammatically sound humans?
Or, should it rely on automation and better functionality to help reduce these issues?

Scott Switzer is the co-founder of open source ad serving company OpenAds. Launched several years ago as the tech arm of Unanimis, it has long been billed as a threat to online ad networks by giving publishers more power to pick the ads they display. Twenty five thousand of them are now using the site.

Hotel group Crowne Plaza has set up free meetings facilities in Second Life to promote its brand to businesses in the virtual world.
On the company’s ‘The Place to Meet Island’, launched at the end of last month, firms can reserve “secure, private meeting rooms” equipped with streaming audio, video, presentation and image viewing abilities.

Yahoo! has introduced a new service that allows advertisers to customise display ads to browsers' age, gender, location and online behaviour.
The SmartAds system, to be introduced today, enables variations of firms' ads to be submitted to Yahoo!'s network with the most relevant version being matched to web surfers' profiles.
