My role as Digital Account Director is to front all digital activity to our existing and potential client base. This involves day to day account handling and being involved in the pitch process where needed.
As part of a dedicated team my job is to translate the clients brief into our digital team ensuring that everything from design and build is completed on time, on budget and on brief.
I manage numerous projects from consumer to business campaigns both public and private, this may involve a wide ranging amount of activities including developing initial strategies, sitemaps, wireframes and search engine analytic work.
ROI has always been a major factor in digital thanks to ease that Analytics can be installed and monitored. Increasingly we are finding that clients are looking to dig deeper to make their digital projects work even harder. Looking at user traffic data combined with understanding how, we as humans, make choices thanks to Behavioural Economics, is really important to control behaviour.
I also have significant offline experience which I always find useful when putting together digital campaigns as the lines between every method of communication, be it offline, PR or digital, are becoming increasingly blurred. It is now very rare that a campaign will cover just the one marketing channel
My digital responsibilites also include e-marketing (email marketing, social media and SEO (mainly organic)) together with website development (Content Management Systems).
I have worked with a wide range of clients on a variety of traditional marketing projects including advertising, branding, direct marketing, development of printed literature such as annual reports, brochures, magazines, newsletters and product price lists. I also have experience developing TV and radio campaigns.
I work with both public and private sector clients.
I report directly to our Client Services Director and Managing Directors.
