My whole carrier related to music, started with became an anchor and program producer at local radio station to the 1st promotion executive @EMI Music Indonesia in 1997 (International repertoire such as Blur, Spice Girls, The Moffats, Lenny Kravitz, The Beatless, Scorpions, depeche mode, dave koz, 911, Smashing Pumpkins, Michael Learns To Rock, kavana etc) , i explored music business deeper by joining one of Major Local Label (Aquarius Musikindo) in 2001, team work of marketing and promotion for established artist, from the 1st album up to now (artists such as Agnes Monica, Bunga Citra Lestari, Ari Lasso, Once, Melly Goeslaw, J-Rocks, etc..). Late 2004, digital format dragged me to another field, more chalenges since i didn't have any eduction backgroud but experiences in music industry helps me a lot. For Recording Company in Indonesia, Ring Back Tone was a dear baby that none of us knew what would it be next, the key is....this is streaming services that music owner controlled its availability, period and price... it's music for your lifestyle, where people will definitely personalize themselves by setting the music they like on their waiting calls, it's me! i'll let people who contact me know about it. Many music services apply in telco's market nowadays, but unfortunately Music is hardly monetized on internet's market (worldwidewebsite).
What i 've learned so far (this was because i had to do it for a new business development though) music editing (simply cut and convert), metadata management, music digital business, copyright, agreement reviewing. music business deal and music promotion/strategic (b2b and b2c).
Music is the world that never end, the playground now is in digital format. Having business with telecommunication companies, handset manufactures, games developers, Content/Service provider is how music company survive over decades (it's been 43 years for Aquarius Musikindo), and in 2012 Aquarius Musikindo arranged a direct deal with Apple (iTunes and iRadio) and Google (Official Premium Youtube Partner) for monetizing all music assets worldwide, it's an honor and i'm being grateful of being part of those music jouney.
Next, i want to step in to inbound marketing, and i won't never stop learning and doing for music, it's my passion.
