Obtained B.V.Sc & AH from University of Calcutta.Joined in service in the year 1963.
Passed PG in Biological Products in the year1968 from IVRI.Obtained ICAR junior fellowship in 1973.
Obtained M.V.Sc from Rajendra Agricultural University,Bihar in Microbiology in the year 1975.
Completed a computer orientation programme course from Vidyasagar Academy,Kolkata.
Retired as Deputy Director(Microbiology) from Institute of Animal Health & Veterinary Biologicals
in the year 2001. Trained in Environmental Economics from Jadavpur University.

Experiences: Joined as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon at Sandeshkhali-II Development Block,24-Parganas(North).
Opened first time Veterinary Block Hospital in the area.Control of epizootic diseases by vaccination
,treatment of diseased animals and worked extension work at grass root level.In 1964 worked in production
and standardisation of Viral as well as Bacterical vaccines till 1975.In 1978 joined as Tuberculosis Control Officer
and worked on prevalence of Tuberculosis in bovine and Poultry.In 1982 joined as Assistant Director at Institute of Animal
Health and Veterinary Biologicals under the Government of West Bengal conducted reearch works along with publication in
scientific Journals.Attended Seminars at National level.Joined as Deputy Director(Microbiology) in the year 1993 till retirement
in the year 2001.Joined in Calcutta Management Association worked for entrepreunorship development and international exposure through contribution of comments and articles displayed as member of dgcommunity.Attending Seminar,talkshops at local,national and international level.Write socio-economic articles in local language as well as English daily viz.Times of India.
