About Me
Gary Williams has been in the public relations and communications business for 15 years, with experience in almost every aspect of corporate communications.
Now running his own consultancy, Proclaim Communications, Gary was most recently Head of Corporate Affairs for De La Rue plc, the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of banknote printing and banknote paper and a member of the FTSE200. At De La Rue, he developed and implemented the internal and external communication programme in support of the £360m disposal process of the Cash Systems division, which halved the size of the company.
Before De La Rue he held senior communication roles for property consultancy EC Harris LLP; industrial gases giant, The BOC Group; Railtrack; P&O and West Sussex County Council. Gary began his communications career as a journalist in the south of England where for a number of years he worked as a reporter and sub-editor on local newspapers.
He graduated in politics from the University of Portsmouth in 1988 before studying for the National Council for the Training of Journalists certificate.
