Amanda has nearly 15 years’ experience in the digital media industry and is one of Europe’s leading search marketing specialists. Her digital career began at 24/7 Media (then, a global digital ad sales network and technology provider, now 24/7 Real Media) managing UK and pan-European ad campaigns from offices in London and then Amsterdam.
Amanda then spent nine years working on the agency side for global digital and SEO pioneers Outrider (a WPP agency). After being appointed Head of Search for Europe, she was headhunted by digital specialist i-level to launch a new Search offering in UK market. Launched in 2004, i-level Search quickly became the fourth largest Search agency in the UK, delivering a full range of paid and natural Search Marketing disciplines to clients such as Procter & Gamble, the COI, Sky, BT and Orange. During this time Amanda grew the operation into a team of 30-strong Search specialists (SEOs and PPC practitioners and holistic strategists), while the agency’s annual PPC billings grew to over £30m by the end of 2007.
Amanda left i-level after its sale and in 2009 set up her own Search consultancy, Reform Digital. Amanda has been at the forefront of the media industry’s campaign to ensure that Search is an integral part of the marketing mix. She has worked with industry bodies such as the IAB, the IPA and the APA to develop best practice training and processes as Search continues to mature and appear on more and more blue chip brands’ communications plans.
