About Me

In addition to training and consulting for Laredo Group, developing and leading courses and private client work, Kendall runs select collaborative pursuits through her company, Influence Collective, LLC. This entails advising and supporting agencies, media companies, and entrepreneurs on marketing and media operations.

Clients have included Carolyn & Co. Media; Motivity Marketing; Cult360/Rust Company; Red Bricks Media; Linett & Harrison; Circus Marketing; PumpOne; Catalyst S+F; and 20nine. The company also serves a dedicated passion of Kendall's: Special Spectators, providing services to the charity.

Allen’s 18+ year path led from print to digital, spanning publisher and agency sides. She first spent a few years covering emergent media tech in the SF Bay Area as a moonlighting, independent journalist obsessed with the broadening landscape.

Moving from print to the digital publishing realm during its most formative years, Allen helped found Thrive, an early play in content/community, and AOL/Time Inc. joint venture. She then moved to the agency world on top posts for USWeb/CKS and Euro RSCG Circle. She ultimately would spend five years supporting and building independent agencies or divisions in New York, before establishing Influence Collective.

A highly regarded thought leader in media circles, she was a frontrunner on Search, as original executive at one of the first SEM agencies, Fathom Online, a post that originally brought her to New York to open the East – and then as regional Director of Client Services for iCrossing. She contributes heavily to the industry, as speaker, moderator and panelist; popular editorial contributor to Media Post and AdAge; and member of the iMedia Advisory Board. She sits on the Producers Guild of America, as national delegate, New Media Executive Council and Co-Chair for the East; 212NYC Board of Directors, Vice President, running the Board's work and setting the vision for and revamping Professional Development programming.
