About Me

I've worked in technology since the early 80's in a diversity of roles from sales, support, systems analysis and executive search for start-up companies in the dot.com boom. I've gained a deep understanding of the needs of business and the impact of technology from designing and implementing sophisticated IT systems in both start-ups and established firms.

During the telecoms and dotcom eras, I've recruited senior people for some of the best known names in the technology world at director and CEO level, as well as founding and selling my own executive recruitment business. This experience means I can talk on level terms with business owners about what will work for their business and how best to implement it.

I'm currently CEO of Informed Choices, a company set up to help organisations comply with the EU Cookie Law and forthcoming EU Privacy Directives. We provide audit and consultancy across the EU and our compliance solution ICX is the only combined cookie/privacy solution available today.

I also consult privately for many technology firms across Europe about Open Source technology and speak at both public and private events. Recent private engagements include a major insurance firm, a marketing seminar for 100 people and one-to-one sessions for the board of a boutique venture capital firm.
