About Me
I'm a spanish technology consultant who has passed last 13 years involved on the spider's web.
I begin designing for interactive developments based on Macromedia Director 4 and Lingo and editing video with Adobe Premiere 3 and retouching and cropping photos with Adobe Photoshop 2.5.
Then i get involved in web design and HTML programming discovering the new Internet WWW, I've seen the birth of Netscape and Explorer as navigators, the death of the first one and the birth of the new mozilla, CSS (LOVELY TABLES WHERE YOU ARE ... ;)
I was part of the best internet company in Spanish and Latin world in the 90's: Teknoland. There i began to treat with ASP, Visual Basic, and the firsts Portals and Communities, being part of the development of www.commm.com Community in 1998, this community had the first and best online real time chat Teknochat that had very large amount of users, as you can see 1998 was the year and we were really involved in a project that now could be a REAL WEB 2.0 reference (but in 1998....)
After www.commm.com i introduced myself into Web consultancy and Project Management in 1999 and began dealing with CMS (obviously Taylor Made CMS)
After all, Teknoland died by success and myself and all the teknolanders began a new life.
In 2001 I took part in the foundation and growth of Tanta Comunicación www.tantacom.com, it was the beginning of "our" adventure and not other's "dream". I felt the pleasures and pains of Microsoft Systems (Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Project Server...)
In Tanta we discover how to improve the use of CMS using tools lije Tridion and the power of OpenSource in our project's development, it was 2003.
In 2004 I decide to move forward and was hired by a company called BetyByte - www.betybyte.com, to be Development manager of the Coca-Cola Community in Spain "El movimiento Coca Cola 2.0" and the adaptation for the Nordic Countries Division called Redzone.
It was a short period but a very rich experience for myself because was a return to the new named 2.0 concept and also let me had a experence in Java and Oracle combined with a strong contact with OpenSource solutions and systems as Apache, Resin among others.
After enjoyed a Coca-Cola was really "The time of the Gathering" for me and with a partner and friend founded a company called GOA Systems trying to make a turn in my career and focused myself in IT Systems and networks, hardware, storage and things like that.
It was really joyful and richness but after 2 years we splitted up and i decided to return to Tanta Comunicación, but now i had some baggage in my back that make my profile different and more rich and powerful.
Tanta was different since i left the company, it grew and was a more interesting place to develop projects, clients were bigger and projects were funny and interesting, I continued there and be involved in the use an deploy of OpenSource projects using tools like eZ Publish, Drupal and more.
But my mind was really anxious of new adventures in IT and I made another turn in my IT life... I was hired by Everis - www.everis.com a typical Consultancy..... I was placed in the Technology Sector giving service to different sectors. I took part of the project INTRADEF Deffense Ministry Intranet based on Documentum and Weblogic Portal.... I'm not made for this kind of company i think, and after 9 months I moved again to my roots, i returrned (THIRD TIME! ladies and gentlemen) to Tanta Comunciacion, the place I call HOME.
In these last two years we have move to new interesting areas: conversion, cloud computing, more and more OpenSource.
