About Me
I'm a hotel GM turned hospitality & service industries consultant with 15+ years executive-level management experience in three, four and five star hotels in Europe and the Middle East.
I’m highly creative, passionate about communication, and I possess excellent (interim) management, team working, and training skills. I also have extensive technical and financial knowledge, a flexible approach to changing situations, and a commitment to the highest standards.
I am interested in many things and understand an eclectic mix of business, science, and art. I know people and how to communicate with them, but I also know how to make organisations work and extract the best profits for their many stakeholders.
I have a proven track record of building, leading, and trouble-shooting, physical and virtual teams, which produce excellent results on time, every time.
In May 2011, I started Iconsulthotels FZE, an ultra-boutique consulting firm specialising in assisting small & medium hospitality & service industries companies to achieve their business goals through innovative use of (online) PR, social/digital media and customised CRM strategies.
I’m a decisive, innovative, and people-focussed leader and my MBA in International Hospitality and Service Industries Management from Glion Institute of Higher Education lets me combine operational stewardship with academic diligence.
I'm very well networked, a frequent speaker at hotel and customer service conferences and events, and a regular contributor to industry websites and publications such as eHotelier.com and hoteliermiddleast.com.
