Shamsul is a recent BA History graduate from Goldsmiths University of London. During his degree he was able to explore a plethora of histories across the globe. He gained insight into the social, political and economic history of regions such as Africa, South Asia and the Arabian Peninsula. This has allowed him to develop a global perspective and has broaden his thinking of marketing communications across market's.
He is currently working in an insight and metrics role and he will be working towards the CIM Digital Marketing qualification at the CIM Academy from June 2012. He is keen to get ahead in the digital marketing industry and has demonstrated his entrepreneurial nature by leading independent digital campaign's through his brand SooUni which has resulted in client's winning awards such as young star of enterprise from the Real Business Awards and a nomination from the Mayor of London’s office at the London Peace Awards.
In addition he is passionate about diversity in the workplace. He believes that the place's we work in should reflect the communities we are apart of. Therefore he has continued his voluntary work with Elevation Networks and was asked to deliver a keynote presentation at Google in partnership with Deloitte on the issue of diversity.
