When it comes to ecommerce, I think focussing on how to create a good user experience (UX) can only help to improve conversion.
I don't believe in “One size fits all” strategies but I thought I'd have a bash at creating a "Top tips" list on how to improve the user experience and bottom line for online shops:
Econsultancy's Ecommerce Platforms Buyer's Guide is aimed at companies who are investigating the ecommerce technology market, with profiles of 34 leading vendors. The report analyses trends in the overall ecommerce marketplace, as well as providing tips for those looking to find the right ecommerce platform.
How We Shop in 2010: Habits and Motivations of Consumers is split into two separate documents for the US and UK, examining e-commerce consumer behavior in both countries. Both reports focus on how consumers interact with e-commerce brands, conduct product research and the different factors in the buying decision-making process.
