Chief Executive at agency2, The social media agency
15 May 2008 14:33pm
Coming soon is a new law that will help encourage marketers to follow the ethical road.
The Consumer Protection Act from Unfair Trading 2008 will effect the who mix, including social media.
Issue include: Falsely representing oneself as a consumer.
One of the core practices at www.agency2.co.uk is that our writers clearly state in the post and the profile the the contribution is a brand ambassador. We will never imply in our posts we are an impartial member of the public.
Although the act is still waiting to go gain parliamentary approval, we believe its principles make good business and ethical sence.
