Hi Gaurav,

It would probably be useful to give an idea of what you're looking to spend on an eCommerce solution but on the assumption that the answer is "not a lot", I personally would recommend Magento Commerce (www.magentocommerce.com).

The community edition is currently open source, it seems to have been recently acquired by eBay which could mean that it won't be free forever (being a cynic), but for the time being, it is and it's very feature rich considering. It's a little slow out of the box and possibly a little resource hungry for virtual environments, but there is some stuff you can do with regards to flattening the product hierarchy and cache management which will speed things up a little.

All in all, it's a good place to start if you're not looking to invest a great deal in software at this point. There are also lots of templates/add-ons and customisation is easy.

If on the other hand money is no object, I was looking at an Oracle ATG 10 (www.atg.com) demo today which looks very interesting. :-)

It really depends on a number of factors including budget, inventory size, backend, feature requirements and many many more...

Zen Cart, OSCommerce, Magento Commerce, Open Cart are all good open source solutions.

I checked it today. Its working properly and have created a trial store and have good experience might be, there must be some work going on there server that's why you have faced problem.

Hi Gaurav,

There are lots of solutions out there for you to choose from. The right one would depend on the following:

1. How many SKUs (products)
2. How many transactions do you predict each week?
3. Are you going to maintain / run the shop yourself? (technical ability could be a factor)

These questions barely scratch the surface but it's a start.

Have you looked at www.shopify.com ? It's a good, simple solution for a new e-commerce brand.
