Business Case implementing a Click and Mortar Strategy

Hi There!

I've just joined (at last!) EConsultancy as a Silver Member, and I downloaded Dave Chaffey's report about Managing Digital Channels.

The report is incredibly helpful for obvious reasons (it's goddamm FULL of information), but I have a client, who's asking the impossible, which is insights on other business cases...

By insight, I mean the whole story about how an offline retailer managed to create an online strategy including its physical stores, and why he made the decisions he made, how it affected his business. 

I thought Dave's report would give this sort of information, but even though it seems the researchers had access to this data, the report doesn't show it.

Does anyone know how I could get access to any kind of information, what would be the book(s) (obviously online would be better, as I'm currently in Brazil and access to English Litterature is quite difficult) to buy, or the report(s) to read here, etc.

I'd be thrilled if anyone could help me out, it's a matter of enjoying X-Mas and New Year or spending these days searching for the impossible,...

Hi Marc,

I think it is unlikely that you will find such information in econsultancy papers. 

The best source for this sort of information would probably academic material and relevant books, probably in the areas or 'Operations Management'  and 'Strategic Management'. 

I'll see if I can find any relevant links and I'll email you with any details I may find.
