Hi, maybe someone can help advise on this question.
Our business runs multiple ecommerce sites, sometimes with the same products being sold on different sites. We aim to avoid duplicate content and so rewrite product descriptions in those cases.
We have a new project where we are taking a US .com domain ecommerce site and launching a mirror site for UK customers at a .co.uk URL.
Much of the content - marketing, customer service etc will be different for the .co.uk site but there is very little customer or SEO reason to change the core product descriptions.
If we were to duplicate the product description content for the .co.uk site from .com, do you think this would be an issue for google? As the sites are clearly geo-targeted would it matter?
Thanks in advance!
