    Hi

When I am creating email campaigns I tend to as standard add in a line at the very bottom along the lines of  ...."You are receiving this email because your details were......" but on a current camapign a staff member has said they do not want me to say where he got the email addresses from. Does anybody know if this is a legal requirement (to provide the data source) or just best practice?

    Thanks

I believe that is best practice, but not a legal requirement.  It is also best practice to include the business address and contact details.  It is, however, a legal requirement to have an unsubscribe that makes it as easy as possible for the recipient to remove themselves from the distribution list.
